Handanovic's renewal to 2021 is done. Reaching Zenga in appearances possible
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the renewal of Samir Handanovic is all done. This should be the final contract for the Slovenian goalkeeper as it will allow Samir to end his career in the black and blue colors of Inter.
Handanovic has been at Inter for six years, 13 in Italy, “so much so that I now think in Italian,” he said in an Q&A session with Inter supporters on Facebook. The proposal from Inter is a new contract until 2021 and Samir will be 37 years old then. And when this new contract expires, Samir Handanovic will be very close to reach Walter Zenga in terms of appearances (473 overall, 328 in Serie A for Zenga).
The hope of Handanovic is to continue climbing on the ladder of games played at Inter but more importantly, reaching the long-awaited Champions League.
