In the summer of 2014, Inter were one step away from signing Paul Ince’s son, Tom, from Blackpool. The operation collapsed in the final minutes as the boy preferred to stay in England.

“In 2013, Liverpool were very close to sign him but Blackpool president made it difficult and did not let me go. It was a disappointment because I would have had a great opportunity playing for Brendan Rodgers. Inter? I was at the San Siro and they were interested but the English voice in me told me to stay in the Premier League.”
