Miranda and D'Ambrosio will be out for a few weeks, the goal is to return versus Roma on Jan. 21st
“Results revealed that the Italian defender has suffered a first-grade lesion to the medial collateral ligament in his left leg, while the Brazilian has a first-grade lesion in the soleus muscle of his right leg.”
That was the test result for Miranda and D’Ambrosio. It is a serious injury and both will at least miss the next three matches against Milan in Coppa Italia, Lazio on December 30 and then Fiorentina before the winter break. Both players are aiming to return for the big match on January 21st against Roma but the recovery ties will continue to be evaluated.
At this point, Spalletti will have to reinvent the defense, with Cancelo who could again find space as right back and Andrea Ranocchia has the great chance to return in the center of the defense.
