Icardi: "Spalletti better than Milan signings. Perisic? If he's not happy then leave"
Speaking to Premium Sport, Inter captain Mauro Icardi tells us his impression on a few days of training with a new group and especially a new coach.
“We’re only missing Medel, other than that, we are all here and working well. I’m still out due to an injury but next week I will return working in group. We all know what the goal is for this year: playing in the Champions League and now we are working to make this a good year for us.
“Spalletti already told us what to do better, he made his ideas known right away. The important thing is we all understand what he wants to do. He defended Ranocchia? I think that a coach must defend the team and management must be on the side of the players. This is what I like. We are here working and it hurts if the fans are shouting out bad things. Spalletti did well in this case. Spalletti or the seven signings of Milan? I have Spalletti and we are very happy with him. Now management will do their job.
“Personal goal of scoring 30 goals this season? I want to help the team. 20 or 30, it is just the same. Perisic? If he is not happy then leave just like the coach says. He has to do what makes him happy.
“My message to the fans is that last year was disappointing but we are here working, hoping things will get better.”
