Borja Valero: "I would never join Juve. My goal is Champions League next year"
“Inter are a world class club and for me, this is a great personal challenge. I am here to land a hand as I can play in different positions in the midfield. I am a serious quiet person, they nicknamed me the Quiet Man. I can help a great hand off the field as well because you can start winning matches by the work you do in the dressing room and in training.”
That was Borja Valero speaking to the Gazzetta dello Sport as the player did not hide the pleasure and happiness in wearing the colors of Inter.
“Team goal? The Champions League is the most beautiful competition in the world and I wish that I could play in it once again. I was very close to play with Fiorentina in 2013 but Milan were able to swoop in for that third place in a very strange way…
“Juve? I would never join them. I know what it means for Fiorentina supporters. Bernardeschi? Everyone makes choices that they believe in. Juve are strong but not unbeatable. Face them without fear, looking into their eyes.”
Inter are also close to signing Valero’s teammate Matias Vecino and Borja speaks about this player.
“He is a young and very good player, with great margins to improve even more. When he has the ball at his feet, he is very difficult to stop. He has a good shot too.
“Spalletti? I only know him from the outside, he is very helpful and friendly, even here with the Chinese fans.”
