Inter to contact Manchester City for two defenders: Otamendi and Mangala. The details...
The list of potential candidates is long but it seems that the list has been reduced to just two: Nicolas Otamendi and Eliaquim Mangala, both Manchester City defenders. Inter, in the next hours, will contact with English club management to start a negotiation that will have to quickly end positively due to a concrete need for Spalletti.
Let’s start with Otamendi. The player is the preferred option for Spalletti for whom Manchester City paid 45 million euros to Valencia two seasons ago and started on Saturday against Brighton. Seeing how City don’t really need money, Inter are hoping for an opening from Guardila and the player himself.
An easier track leads to Mangala (offered to Roma). The French, after a year loan to Valencia, found himself as a fourth option in the list of six available central defenders for Pep Guardiola. Inter could do a paid loan with obligation to sign fixed at around 15 million euros.
Again, Spalletti is expecting a new central defender within 48 hours and this is why today or tomorrow, there are likely to be new developments on this front, one that will bring the Nerazzurri a new defender.
