Inter confident in who they already have in defense, unless there's injuries, no new central defender in January
The number one goal in the upcoming January transfer window for Inter is to sign an attacking midfielder that can push and score the ball. This was pursued by the club last summer but due to various reasons, whether it was FFP or the Chinese government, it did not come true.
But what about another central defender? Well, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, “Inter have maximum confidence in Ranocchia, D’Ambrosio and Vanheusden as alternatives to the duo of Miranda and Skriniar at the moment. Unless there are serious injuries, chances are that no new central defender will arrive in January. The philosophy of Inter is clear: not buying to meet certain number of players, they want to trust whoever is already here. It will be easier to make move in June, under the right conditions for the right players.”
