Marco Branca: "Inter? Must feel like a Formula One team where everyone works together"

He is now back talking to the media after years of silence, former sporting director of Inter Marco Branca talks about the transfer market, focusing on that of Roma.

Do you think the Roma defense has weakness? What do you think about Juan Jesus?

“Many teams have problem in the central defense. I do believe that Juan Jesus has the technical and physical possibilities to make him a good central defender. But in football, much depend on how one applies himself in training and personal ambition.”

What role will Schick play?

“It’s up to the coach to give the team balance. If you use Schick wide in a 4-3-3, it will give you more disadvantages than advantages. I’m sure he’ll be happily making a change.”

In 2016, there was talk of you replacing Sabatini.

“In the world of football, there are a lot of rumors circulating around. I have not had direct contact with anyone but I would appreciate Roma as possible new club.”

What are your impressions about Roma and Inter?

“Both must be aware that they have very strong players. They have to feel like a Formula One team: from top to bottom, it is a team, everyone works together and find ways to improve. The more this happens, the less points will be lost.”

Who would you buy in this market?

“I don’t like playing this game. The market is too hard and it should end 30 days sooner. Coaches are nervous because it lasts too long. Serie A clubs have done their business, now they will do their talking on the field.”
