Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero: "Without Chinese government restrictions, Schick would be at Inter"

Speaking to Gazzetta.it, Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero discusses the long transfer saga that was Patrik Schick.

“They all wanted Schick: Monaco, PSG, Juventus and Roma. But I have to be honest, without the stop from the Chinese government, Schick would have been at Inter together with Skriniar. The Chinese? To me, they do not exist. Our football should remain in the hands of Italian presidents. If the Chinese come to Genoa and offer me a lot of money, I would never sell Sampdoria. If we hand it to the foreigners, we will abandon a piece of our history.”
