Amazing turnaround, Inter defense is ranked second in Europe in goals allowed category

It is really amazing how fast Inter have been able to turn things around especially in the defensive end. Last season, its defense was the weakest point in the team and now thanks to the arrival of Spalletti and Skriniar, Inter have only allowed two goals after six matches in Serie A. The team is much more organized and understands the idea that positional formation is not important (Spalletti: “I’m not fond of positional players”). What important is the ability to adapt, to help each other out in covering the spaces if one is out of position.

The result has been nothing short of amazing so far. In all of Europe, Inter are tied with Hannover 96, Manchester United and Manchester City with the second best defense (all have allowed two goals so far), just after Borussia Dortmund (one goal allowed) according to Sky Sport.
