Two factors for Miranda's revival. New contract on horizon?
Inter are much improved in the defense department thanks to the revival of Miranda. Tuttosport points out two factors that have helped the Brazilian national team captain regain his confidence: change of coach and Milan Skriniar.
Let’s not forget that before the Chinese government shut down the money of Suning, the former Sampdoria defender was bought just to be the third central defender. However, ever since the first day of training camp, the Slovakian has been able to convince Spalletti to become Miranda’s partner. Furthermore, Luciano Spalletti has put a strong emphasis on defense and his schemes have been working so far as Inter have only allowed two goals after six matches in Serie A.
The impression is that if Miranda manages to keep up with his performances, Inter will likely award him a new contract until 2020 (current one expires in 2019).
