Intermediary: "Benfica offer was lowest but Gabriel Barbosa wanted to join them"

Speaking to Radio Renascenca, Cesar Boaventura, one of the intermediaries that looked after Inter-Benfica negotiation for Gabriel Barbosa, reveals the background of one of the last-day moves of past window.

“The player had 12 offers, one of which was from Porto and it came to his agent Wagner Ribeiro. The offer from Benfica was the lowest but the most important to Inter. There was also Sporting that made a better offer as well but Barbosa preferred Benfica the moment he knew there was interest.”
