War between Inter and Milan on the San Siro, Nerazzurri annoyed as Milan continue to stall
It really is cold war between Inter and Milan regarding the San Siro.
“Without exaggerating the magnitude of tension, those who say that Inter are annoyed by the choices of Milan are not wrong. All are pointing towards another round table meeting because the current agreement will expire in six months or so, on June 30th, 2018.”
That was the Gazzetta dello Sport on the situation, the paper also asks: who will be playing at the San Siro in the future? And, in waiting to see who will build their own stadium, how much renovation will be done at the San Siro?
“The parties in the past have made their position clear: Milan would like to have a stadium for themselves, possibly the San Siro, otherwise, a new building that they own. And Inter want to stay at the San Siro, possibly alone. The City of Milan has worked on sharing the Meazza, with separate entrances and they are in a hurry to find solution to modernize the stadium.”
Inter, after months and months of delay, are also in a hurry to start the work of renovate the stadium while Milan continue to stall.
“It is easy to think that Inter and Milan will continue paying the city 4.5 million each season to rent the San Siro. This agreement expires in 2030.”
