Summer 2018 agenda - No training camp in China, possibly United States for International Champions Cup

Inter’s summer habits are ready to change. For the past two decades, the Nerazzurri have always started training camp in the mountains: Sarre, Bormio, Pinzolo and Riscone di Brunico. The locals have had the pleasure seeing these players from the club in Corso Vittorio Emanuele. However, next summer, there is no training camp in high altitude. The team will remain working at Pinetina (fans will probably be allowed to watch training) because the first part of it, there will be very few players available to Spalletti. The “fault” belongs to the World Cup and then the subsequent holidays for different players. After leaving Riscone last summer, there was a negotiation to return to Pinzolo but for the moment, everything is stuck.

Inter will leave Appiano Gentile only after July 20th but it certainly will not be China. The International Champions Cup in 2018 will happen only in the United States and not, as happened in recent years, in Australia and also in China. The reason is that the World Cup in Russia will keep many players busy until the end of July and playing in the ICC tournament on three continents without the star players would not be wise when it comes to generating as much revenues as possible. Thus, it is better to concentrate the tournament only in the States, playing some matches in Europe. Inter are considering whether to take part of this tournament, flying over the ocean like two years ago.
