Inter to avoid losing another Nainggolan, want to start dialogue with Cagliari for Barella as soon as possible
Inter do not want repeat another case of Nainggolan when it comes to another Cagliari midfielder, Nicolo Barella. According to Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri do not want to lose another valuable player from Cagliari right under their nose just like it happened back in 2014 when Nainggolan went to Roma. Although Barella is not worth the same as the current Roma midfielder back then, because between loans and fees, Nainggolan was paid for around 18 million euros.
Inter evaluate Barella at 16 million while Cagliari want 30 million for him, but it is possible that the agreement can be found halfway. Certainly, due to the fact that he just renewed his contract until 2022, the Rossoblu will have an even stronger position in negotiations. For his part, Piero Ausilio does not want to lose time nor ground and is trying to find the right formula to get in the pole position for Barella. It will not be easy because Cagliari president Giulini wants to wait further in order to increase the player’s value. But an attempt will be made, already in this month of January: Inter are pressing and will not give up easily.
