Suning said no to extra budget. Sabatini will rely on low-cost options to fix the defense. The names...
Not good news for Inter. Walter Sabatini is in China where he will have a series of meetings with Suning management to ask for financial support for a winter shopping campaign. According to FC Inter News, Zhang Jindong has not yet given his green light to the request of extra budget and so Sabatini will be forced to reinforce the defense with low-cost options. Alessandro Bastoni is coming but it will not be enough.
So for this month, Inter are thinking of a former player, one that was their best defender when he was here. We are talking about Rolando whose contract is expiring with Olympique Marseille. The goal is to get him now by paying a small sum to the French club.
Alternatively, there is 32 year-old Domenico Criscito who will not renew with Zenit and in the second line there is Mapu Yanga-Mbiwa, former Roma player but he is not the favorite on the list of Sabatini. Inter can ask for him on loan but Lyon may not accept and will probably ask for immediate payment. Fninally, there is Francesco Acerbi of Sassuolo.
