Giuseppe Sala, Milan mayor: "Inter want to work on the San Siro and their new training center could be approved within few months"
Interviewed by Sky, the mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sala, speaks about the plans of Inter and Milan regarding the stadium and new training center.
“On the stadium, I think that ideally, both teams would need to work together but I do understand that Milan want to think of their own stadium. We have given them the availability for all areas that we consider suitable, especially in the South-East, in Rogoredo and Porto di Mare. We have giving the Rossoneri time to check for possible options and I think they need another 2-3 months, but in the end something will have to be done. I like the San Siro a lot and it is clear that it needs to be renovated with new entrances, hospitality potions and colors. The third ring can create new spaces and technology can help.
“Inter, on the other hand, are determined to work on the San Siro. As for new training center, the club is convinced to bring it to the city of Milan. The solution of Piazza d’Armi is a very welcome one. Soon, there will be a final confirmation from Inter and the approval of this project can be done in a few months.”
