Milan mayor: "San Siro? I'm open to all solutions..."
Beppe Sala, the mayor of Milan, shows openness to the idea of a concession (transfer of surface rights) of the San Siro stadium to Inter and Milan.
“Granting this right to Inter and Milan for 99 years? We are open to all solutions, even this one. The sooner we find solution, the better. I would like a solution to be found by the end of my mandate (which is scheduled for 2021).”
A year ago, Sala gave Milan an ultimatum to speed up the timing of their decision on the remodeling of the San Siro, either that or building their own stadium.
“I pushed them because I had fears about the previous ownership but now they are under Elliot and we can relax a bit more.”
