Despite lack of minutes, Inter 100% believe in Lautaro Martinez, will rule out return to Argentina
As reported by the Gazzetta dello Sport, the last substitution in Atalanta-Inter for Luciano Spalletti should have been Lautaro Martinez but due to the fact that Miranda asked to leave the game (clash of heads with Toloi and was replaced by Vrsaljko), the number 10 of Inter could not enter the pitch. Of course, the former Racing forward has not hidden the desire to play more.
“As of today, he has played 263 overall minutes, much less than expected after a very good summer. After the goal scored against Iraq, he played in two games against Barcelona (bad in the first, decisive in the second) and 90 minutes versus Genoa, in place of Icardi. Spalletti continues to express his doubts on playing Lautaro and Maurito together (“For now, we cannot afford to do it”) but Lautaro probably at least expects to be the first option to overturn a result, the first source of offense coming off the bench.
“President Blanco of Racing Club has recently begun to dream of a Lautaro return similar to what Gabriel Barbosa did when he came back to Santos. If there is a formalized offer on the table, Inter will laugh it off because Lautaro remains a highly rated prospect by Inter, all of his qualities and a future as an Inter player convince all.”
