Inter want to lower San Siro's capacity to 65 thousand to have more VIP seats and commercial activities
2019 will be the year in which Inter will dive into the future. Between May and June, the club headquarters will be transferred from Corso Vittorio Emanuele, between the Duomo and San Babila, to Porta Nuova, the skyscraper district. Then there will be important steps for the stadium as the priority of Suning is to find new important revenues to reduce the gap with the richest clubs in Europe. After the announcement of memorandum understanding with Milan to “work together with the project of a modern stadium,” work will move forward quickly to get to the end of the year with at least very specific ideas.
Inter and Milan are in contact almost daily and within a couple of weeks, there should be a new meeting with the city. Inter already have in mind the director that they want to take: the “new San Siro” project was already presented two years ago by Suning, with a total capacity not exceeding 65 thousand fans, closing the third ring. In that stadium, Inter want to have more services, more VIP seats, more commercial activities. This is the idea of Inter but obviously there must be total agreement with the Milan project.
