Mauro Icardi responding to criticism the best way he knows how: scoring goals

A goal in the Champions League was missing and that came in his very first match. A goal with the Argentinian national team was missing and it also did come. Mauro Icardi, at 25 years old, has responded to criticism and silenced skeptics by doing what he does best: scoring goals.

Today, the Gazzetta dello Sport highlights some statistics of the Argentinian’s season as the Inter captain is ready to play his 200th match in Serie A on Saturday.

Icardi has one and one objective in mind: to continue the scoring streak in which he has found at least one goal. “And at least part of the merit is for the team designed to compliment him. They do everything to enhance the attributes of Icardi. Icardi has 36 shots - penalties and free kicks are excluded - this season, meaning one shot every 31 minutes.”

Half of Icardi’s shots came from 18 successful crosses, 12 of which are from Perisic and Asamoah.
