Nainggolan: "I had many chances to leave Italy but I am here at Inter to do big things"
“I came to this club to build something big and so I think I am in the right place.”
Speaking to ESPN, Radja Nainggolan reveals that he has had many chances of leaving Italy in the past but now he just want a successful adventure wearing the black and blue colors of Inter.
“In the past, I had so many chances to leave Italy but I am the kind of person who must live well and play at a club that wants to win and I also must be happy with my life. In Italy, I find myself living very well here. I like the culture, the way of life. Chelsea offered me more money in 2017 compared to how much I was making with Roma. The Blues are a great club but I want to wake up in the morning in a place where I am happy in. At 29 years old, I did not want to start over again to earn the respect for which I have worked for 12 years now in Italy. There are so many components to evaluate. I stayed in Italy, in Rome, because I wanted to close in the best way possible. There was also Manchester. And I was not interested. Of course I was pleased by the fact that they wanted me.
“If you want to see a spectacle, you have to watch English football for the fans, for the full stadiums, for the perfect pitches, the pace is very hight but tactically it is not like in Italy. If you ask me what league I want to play then maybe I will tell you it is England for the spectacle but I have been in Italy for so many years and so I am happy. I do not need to change anything.”
