Reaching Champions League round of 16 would yield Inter between €53M and €57M
Tomorrow Inter will try to qualify for the knockout stage of the Champions League with one game to spare, just do not lose at Wembley against Tottenham and it will be done. Getting out of the group stage is one of Inter’s seasonal goals and in economic sense, it is a goal to be absolutely achieved.
In the first four matches, Inter have virtually collected €42M thanks to the results obtained, just like Napoli. Juventus are at €64M while Roma have gained €41M. The Bianconeri made more money because they won the league and have a better ranking in the last 10 years. All four Italian clubs are aiming to reach next round because it would mean more money thanks to results obtained in group stage but above all each team will be rewarded €9.5M for reaching the knockout stage. The eventual qualification to the second round would bring between €75M to €79M to Juventus, €53M to €57M to Inter and Napoli and €52M to €56M to Roma. This means that if all Italian clubs moved on to the next round, all four would collect up to €249M in total.
