GdS - Steven Zhang's long-term project is to reduce the gap with clubs like Barcelona
The Gazzetta dello Sport talks about the gap between Inter and other European clubs in the Champions League, particularly Barcelona.
“The comparisons with Barcelona are that Inter are still far away: at the level of play and in terms of philosophy, something that the Spanish club has been carrying out for over a decade. They are unique. From certain points of view, the differences seem to have closed because this Inter team has a tremendous personality. They do have a fantastic stadium and crazy support of its fans plus the likes of Handanovic, Skriniar and above all Icardi as all three are playing the role of protagonists in Europe.”
The reason for this gap? €693M in turnover for Barcelona, €297M for Inter. This translates into more quality players for the Spanish club. Reducing this gap is Steven Zhang’s long-term project.
