Inter announce plan to share and renovate Giuseppe Meazza stadium together with Milan
Inter and Milan have found an agreement on the stadium and this positive turning point was announced moments ago.
“Inter and Milan would like to announce that the clubs have signed a memorandum agreement confirming the desire to work together with the project for the construction of a modern and state-of-the-art stadium. A building adapted to current standards is essential to allow fans to enjoy a unique experience and to ensure success both on and off the field. The two clubs believe that a shared stadium is of primary interest to all stakeholders from a financial, administrative and technical point of view. Both clubs are evaluating a series of possible options, including the restructuring of the San Siro stadium, and have revisited the analysis of the various alternatives through the establishment of the joint working group. We believe that we can conclude this first exploratory phase by the end of 2018, in order to proceed quickly with the planning and administrative actives required to deliver the fans a modern stadium in the shortest possible time. Yesterday, two clubs met with the mayor, reopening a constructive and fruitful dialogue with the aim of deepening the option of modernization of the San Siro area.”
