Inter want to remove release clause in Icardi's new contract
The dialogue between Inter and Mauro Icardi for a new contract has started according to the Corriere dello Sport. The offer of Inter is very clear: no more release clause. The Nerazzurri would like to increase Icardi’s wage from 4.7 million to 6.5 but they want to remove the clause altogether. In addition, the club of Suning is willing to attach to the contract huge bonuses, some are easier to reach more than other including a Champions League qualification for next season.
On the other hand, Icardi’s entourage want to start from a fixed amount of seven million per year, improving the release clause to 150 million. For them to cancel the clause, they are asking for eight million a year.
According to the Rome based newspaper, there will be a meeting between all parties to dig deeper into the details of negotiation.
