Inter could decide to sell Icardi to "settle the financial books"
Inter are negotiating a new contract for Mauro Icardi but this does not mean that he will surely stay at the club. According to the Corriere dello Sport, it seems that “Inter could decide to sell their central forward if there's a great offer, perhaps with the inclusion of player(s) that the Nerazzurri appreciate. The reasons are all about the account at the club because with the capital gains from his sale, the club account would settle in a definitive manner. It is true that Inter then would need to find an adequate replacement but the resources would not be lacking. Let’s not forget that Ausilio already has Lautaro Martinez from Racing. Yes, he is only 20 years old but those who know him and Argentinian football understand very well that this is an incredible talent.”
It is believed that the two big clubs wanting Mauro Icardi are Paris Saint Germain and Real Madrid. At the French club, Icardi would replace Cavani whereas at Real Madrid, the Argentinian would get the baton from Benzema.
