Spalletti considers formation change, dropping Perisic and Candreva
When a team is no longer winning, changes need to be made. According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Luciano Spalletti is considering two particular formations that he could give them a try in the coming weeks.
The first formation is a 4-3-1-2 with Skriniar playing in the midfield. Handanovic still remains in goal with Cancelo as your right back, D’Ambrosio on the left, Miranda stays put in the central defense paring up with either Lopez or Ranocchia. In the middle of the field, Slovakian Skriniar is central midfielder and to his sides are Gagliardini and Vecino. Newcomer Rafinha is trequartista supporting Eder and Icardi up top.
The second hypothesis is a three-man defense in a 3-4-1-2 formation. Miranda, Skriniar and D’Ambrosio are your defenders. Dalbert and Cancelo are the left and right midfielders with Vecino and Gagliardini in the middle. Rafinha is trequartista and in this formation he will also be supporting Eder and Icardi.
According to the pink newspaper, these two hypotheses could be adopted until Perisic and Candreva can find an acceptable condition, perhaps in time for the derby four games from now on March 4th.
