Sabatini: "I am discussing the situation with Suning"
The big news of today is the apparent resignation of Suning technical director Walter Sabatini. The first report came from the Gazzetta dello Sport which stated that he submitted his resignation request two weeks ago and will see Suning to discuss the situation.
Intercepted by the reporters, the director clarifies the situation:
"We are talking with total serenity but please do not ask me this question as I am waiitng to see how things develop. But the team must stay calm. I do not want to make a big confusion out of it in the most absolute way. I expect Inter to be Inter as they have shown that they can do, showing that they can play well and win in these last matches. It would be a nice consolation in an experience that has not been great.
"We are talking with mutual understanding. But Inter are Inter and it would be nice to build a story together with more consistency. Spalletti? He is the coach of Inter and I hope that he not only will stay beyond this year but also have a five-year term as he should because he is a great coach and deserves to win trophies with Inter."
