Report - Inter making progress on Joao Miranda's renewal. Experience important for CL next year

The arrival of De Vrij will give him harder time to become a starter for Inter next season due to his age of 33 years old. Joao Miranda has been at Inter since 2015 and was on the field 31 times last season, enough to convince Inter management to work on his contract which expires in June 2019. Now, the player will focus on the World Cup with Brazil which will most likely be the last of his career.

In the meantime, according to Gianluca Di Marzio, some progress has been made on the renewal front with Ausilio and Gardini today in London to talk to the Brazilian who is training with the national team at the Tottenham sports center. They will try to close as soon as possible because while it is true that De Vrij is here, the experience and charisma of a veteran like Miranda is fundamental for Inter especially in the Champions League.
