Inter CEO: "Strengthening Inter without selling. Icardi? Nothing to worry. UEFA FFP? Optimistic"
Speaking to the media, Inter CEO Alessandro Antonello talks about the transfer market strategies that Inter have for this window.
“This past year, the goal was to reach the Champions League and we succeeded. Now it takes time to build a competitive team and improve the result of last season. The market objectives are clear as we have defined them together with Spalletti. We need to build a team that can be competitive in both the league and the Champions League, so reinforcing this team is necessary.
“As for Icardi, there is nothing to worry about. He is our player and captain. In the coming weeks, we will discuss a possible renewal. UEFA FFP and capital gains? There is optimism. We are also focused on this aspect and the objective to be achieved by June 30th. We are working and I think we will reach our goal. Nainggolan is our big target? I don’t want to talk about individuals but about the overall team objectives. We do not think about selling someone to respect FFP but we think about building a competitive team for the future.”
