Juve TV from "wanting to destroy and erase Inter" to getting destroyed by Sky: closed, will no longer be available
“I want to destroy and erase them from the planet. I want to remove every last glimmer of hope, desire and dream they have to be a normal team. Inter need to stay in the sewers where they have been over the last few years, in a manhole cover hidden by darkness.”
This was president of Juventus communication department Sandro Pello before the Italian derby last season. This incredible rant was on Juve TV, in the presence of its director Claudio Zuilani who, instead of asking him to use more moderate tones, just sat there laughing.
Why did I bring this up? Well because Juve TV just closes its doors today due to high running costs and too low of a user base. The channel will continue to be available on the Internet but it is no longer on Sky. Juve TV certainly did not have the ratings and numbers for Sky to make any more investment.
So in short, Sky “removes every last glimmer of hope, desire and dream” and now Juve TV is “in a manhole cover hidden by darkness.”
