Reminder - Release clause of Icardi (110 million) is available to be activated
We have not heard much about Mauro Icardi and his contractual situation in awhile now, probably because Inter management was 100% focused on closing the capital gain chapter with UEFA. But now that July 1st is here, let's just recap what is going on with Icardi's current contract.
Well, in this current agreement, the Argentinian has a release clause of 110 million that is only valid for foreign clubs and only in the period between July 1st and 15th. So far, no club has stepped up to show any interest but will that stay the same in the upcoming two weeks? We will see.
Piero Ausilio recently said that "Icardi has three more years left in his contract. We will sit down to discuss it at some point, that is certain because we want to recognize the work that he has done. However, we have other things with different deadlines to worry about (capital gain etc...) right at the moment." Now that the capital gain situation is done and Mauro Icardi, together with his wife and agent Wanda Nara, is currently in Milan getting ready for training camp on July 9th, maybe it is time to have that talk now eh guys?
