Champions League won't be easy for two reasons: lack of experience and fourth pot
Inter are back in the Champions League but it will not be easy for two reasons.
The first is that in the current squad, there are only seven players that have experienced this competition in their career: Nainggolan, Asamoah, Miranda, Perisic, Ranocchia, Brozovic and Borja Valero. The overall appearances from these seven are just 93, four less than Zanetti who had 97 games played in the Champions League.
The second is that Inter are placed in fourth pot, meaning there is a high risk of matching up with other big clubs in the group stage.
These are two fair points and now it depends on ownership, management, technical staff and the players themselves to earn more experience in Champions League by consistently doing well in the league. If that happens, the fourth pot situation will take care of itself.
