Inter CEO: "Our goal for next year? Reduce the gap in Serie A and do well in Champions League"
“Reaching 45 million euros in capital gains and important signings so far? Just like all projects, there is planning and it takes time. We had a very intense phase until the end of last week to achieve UEFA FFP requirements but until UEFA gives us the final okay, we cannot certify the data but we are happy for the work done. The transfer market is in an advanced stage and we will evaluate how to close the technical part of this window.”
That was Inter CEO Alessandro Antonello expressing that he is satisfied with the work done on the transfer market and also UEFA FFP.
“The fans are showing the great attached to a very strong team that we have, very high enthusiasm but we have to keep our feet planted strongly on the ground. The season starts in August and we will see the work done then. We expect great things in Serie A and Champions League. The first objective of our project was to return to the Champions league, it was achieved. And now we want to reduce the gap with the other three teams that were ahead of us in the standings last year, especially Juventus and Napoli. In Champions League, we have to show that we are able to compete in such important competition after years of absence.
“Scudetto? The goal is to reduce the gap with other clubs and we will do everything to improve the results of last year.”
