City of Milan approved €15M plan to renovate Meazza stadium by 2020
As explained in a statement by the City of Milan, an extraordinary work plan has been approved for the San Siro stadium - defined together by Inter and Milan as well as M-I Stadio that deals with operational management, in agreement with Palazzo Marino Sports Department - with a total value of 15 million euros to be done by June 2020.
This plan includes lighting of the entrances, construction of Operations Center for Police Headquarters, a lot of maintenance (electrical work and restrooms) and modernization work in the first ring, a new lounge for the Museum, increase commercial spaces, construction of new media areas and red ring's first tier of a fourth executive room, as well as revitalizing the square outside the stadium."
Roberta Guaineri, municipal councilor for Sport, wanted to thank “Inter and Milan for their efforts in the maintenance and renewal of the Meazza Stadium. This plan of work and innovations will allow us to continue define the stadium of our city as ‘world class’ in football."
The budget councilor, Roberto Tasca, emphasizes that “the City of Milan, Inter and Milan have demonstrated the common commitment and a shared vision to take care and innovate what is a historical heritage and social of all Milanese people.”
