Icardi's contract negotiation to resume next week
On the long list of things to do for Piero Ausilio in the coming weeks, there is also the negotiation for Icardi’s new contract. Starting next week, Inter players and coaching staff will return to Appiano Gentile on July 9th and so every day should be good moment for a contract negotiation.
Having already reinforced the team with important signings, the Nerazzurri want to lock up its captain for many years to come; for now, no one has come forward to pay the release clause and Antonello, CEO, recently revealed that parties will see each other again to talk about the extension. If someone were to bring 110 million in cash for Icardi’s clause then that club would have to negotiate only with the player and so it is necessary to discuss this situation to either raise or remove the clause for good.
And so, Icardi is waiting for a signal from the club which is willing to increase his wage to 6.5 million plus bonuses. Wife and agent Wanda is looking for 8. Meanwhile, Icardi is in Ibizia for the last part of his vacation after not receiving a call to the national team of Sampaoli who flopped hard at the World Cup. There will be a revolution for the Seleccion and in its future, one that should see Mauro Icardi in it.
