Inter return to the Champions League and immediately run into Barcelona. The Gazzetta dello Sport recalls the matchup between these two teams in 2010 Champions League semifinals.

“Thiago Motta was red carded for putting a hand to the face of Busquets who was worthy of receiving an Oscar for the best fake scene of the season. Inter played with 10 men on the field against ‘Barcelona of the Gods’ for over one hour. Jose Mourinho then organized the resistance until the bitter end, ordering his players to turn to the 4-4-1-1 formation and lock it down. Diego Milito was often found on the wing while his attacking partner, Samuel Eto’o, played as fullback. Sneijder, when he can, tried to lighten up some pressure as the game went on.”

On that day, Camp Nou became Camp Mou.
