ESPN acquired TV rights to show Serie A in the US

ESPN and their streaming service called ESPN+ have acquired a multi-year deal to show Serie A matches in the United States. This agreement, according to a press release, will bring more than 340 matches per season to ESPN+ which will start carrying an average of nine matches live each week starting this month until May. ESPN networks (ESPN1, ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes) will televise close to 40 matches (Match of the Week) per season.

This agreement will feature year-round news, highlights content across ESPN platforms, including one-hour season preview and review programs on ESPN+, a weekly preview and highlight shows and a Serie A TIM goals of the week program.
