Contract discussion: Icardi not forcing anything but still wants to be paid like top class player
There are no indications that Mauro Icardi and Inter are heading towards a happy ending regarding the new contract. According to Sport Mediaset, despite an atmosphere of calmness, the parties remain at a distance and there isn’t any upcoming meeting on the agenda to talk about this topic.
In the summer, Mauro received 3 top offers from Real Madrid, PSG and Juventus, all above €10M even €12M, figures that are much higher than the current €6M net received last season after a slight increase thanks to making the Champions League. Piero Ausilio, on the other hand, is offering a substantial increase until 2023 as well as upping the release clause from €110M to €130M. But the Inter captain’s position remains clear and well known to the club of Suning: he is doing well in the city of Milan and has no intention of forcing anything. But he does expect an offer from Suning, one that shows he is a top player.
