Agent: "Keita won't be Cancelo, Inter will find way to keep him"
Speaking to the Gazzetta dello Sport, agent of Keita Balde, Roberto Calenda, comments on his past and future in Black and Blue.
“At Lazio, people started a war against him, he was painted as a different man than he was. Because of that, he has this wrong portrait of who he is as a person and a footballer, that of a crazy man.
“When there was the opportunity to close the deal, Inter immediately jumped on it. There were other teams as well such as Napoli and Tottenham. However, he had no doubts about Inter and immediately wished to go there.”
In order for the Nerazzurri to keep Keita on a permanent basis, another €34M must be paid to AS Monaco.
“I have a feeling that Keita will not be another case of Cancelo (Inter couldn’t afford to keep the Portuguese due to UEFA Settlement Agreement). Inter will find a way to redeem him as there is still time until the end of May. €34M is needed for a total of €40M (the other €6M was for the loan). This is a big figure but it falls in line with the quality, years of age, statistics in goals and assists that he has. If he continues doing what he has been, there will be no doubt about his permanence at Inter.”
