Inter looking for a sleeve sponsor, ready to break the €400m mark in revenues by June 2019
Inter are evaluating the idea of putting a sponsor on the sleeve. As reported by the Corriere dello Sport, the Nerazzurri are considering the possibility of finding a new sponsor to put on the left sleeve of the shirt, an option introduced by Serie A since last August and has already been taken advantage of by several clubs in top flight football. According to the Roman newspaper, Inter want to find an agreement to continue its mission to “further increase its revenues, intended (including the €50M in capital gains that must be made) to exceed €400M on June 30th, 2019.”
The eventual agreement would therefore allow to further increase revenues for the club. As far as commercial revenues and TV rights are concerned, Inter explained in the Inter Media and Communication report on September 30th that contracts were already signed for the entire 2018-2019 season for €258M, €19 more compared to 2017-2018 financial year: an increased thanks to the Champions League which at the moment will bring at least €45M minimum in revenues in addition to €86.7M from Serie A.
As previously mentioned, Inter look to add a sleeve sponsor in addition to those signed over the last few months such as Full Share (€10M/year), Lvmama.com (€10M/year) and iMedia (guaranteed the minimum of €25M/year). Clubs in the Bundesliga, Ligue 1, La Liga and especially the Premier League are already doing it. In England, Manchester United (pic), Arsenal and Chelsea have contracts (for sleeve sponsorship) for about £10M.
