Inter looking to hijack Juventus-Darmian deal: offering the same condition but higher wage
Inter are back in for Matteo Darmian. This is according to Sport Mediaset which reports that Inter want to steal the Manchester United fullback who is on his way to Juventus.
“A pretty surprising move but also of lighting by the Bianconeri on Sunday. Fabio Paratici has an agreement with Manchester United for €3M loan with option to buy at €8M, achievable upon renewing the player’s contract to one extra year (current deal expires on June 30th). But now Inter are ready to guarantee the same conditions with an adjustment to Darmian’s wage. Today, the Italian makes €3.2M, would be €3.5M at Juventus but at Inter, that number could reach as high as €3.8M.
“This move by Ausilio and Marotta has a technical and political significance. Technical one concerns the possible non-redemption of Sime Vrsaljko who will cost Inter €17.5M after the €6.5M for the loan. The political move here lies in the active presence that club of Suning wants to affirm in the transfer market and the reason that triggers this is when Juventus were linked to Modric, approximately 2 weeks ago, who is notoriously and long-time target of Inter.”
