Inter to go after Ivan Rakitic in January... thanks to the help of Gabriel Barbosa
Ivan Rakitic is for sale in January. And Inter are giving him a serious consideration. According to Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri could very soon advance forward for the Croatian midfielder who is not finding playing time at Barcelona. The relationship between him and Valverde is simply not good.
Last summer, he was often on the market with clubs like Inter, PSG, Juventus and Manchester United ready to give him a new experience. But Rakitic had always had clear ideas to stay at Barcelona even after the signing of De Jong from Ajax. So far this season, the Croatian has only been used by Valverde in six out of ten matches for a total of 186 minutes.
Barcelona demanded €50M a few months ago but Inter could very well sign him for just €30M. In this sense, help could come from Gabriel Barbosa. The Flamengo loan will expire at the end of December and selling him outright now is very possible thanks to a series of positive performances.
The club of Suning intends to collect an important sum of between €25M-€30M as the Brazilian striker has not only returned to the national team but he is also a target for several European clubs.
