Out of all signings last summer, the only one who still has not made his mark is Valentino Lazaro. The injury in pre-season is proven to be really costly especially for someone who is not familiar to the Italian league. Speaking to FCIN, agent of the player, Max Hagmayr, discusses the current situation as well as the future of his client.

“I’m in Italy is to visit Valentino. I often come to Milan to see Inter’s home matches. Physically, Valentino is doing well, I think he is ready. But he must work hard to have his chance and to be able to show his skills and abilities. Certainly, he was unlucky in pre-season and got injured. But this is about the past, now let’s think about the future.”

Conte said that he was happy that Lazaro played with the national team precisely because the player got playing time and minutes for his legs.

“Austria will have two very important matches against Israel and Slovenia. And that should be another opportunity to see Valentino play.”

What does he think of this start of a new chapter in his career?

“I’ve known him since he was 16 years old, so we actually talk about everything. He’s proud and happy that he signed for Inter, same with his coach. Lazio knows that he has to work hard but he is sure that Conte will take him to another level. And he cannot wait to get on the pitch. The Italian league’s style is different from Germany’s. So Valentino will continue giving his all to adapt better. But we are sure that in the end, everyone will be satisfied with the decision taken last summer. As I told you before, Lazaro is now working to get his chance. When he takes advantage of it, he will try to become a starter for Inter.”

Do you think his chance will come soon?

“Hard to say. Now there’s Juventus and then the national break. For Valentino, it will be important to defend the colors of Austria but it would have been just as important to train with Conte just to understand more what the coach wants from him and to show what he is capable of. Juve? I think Inter will challenge them until the end to win the title, even if Napoli remain a force to be reckoned with. I am certain that Valentino can decisively help this team to reach the final objective, at least this is our idea.”
