No chance for Milinkovic-Savic to leave Lazio in January, all transfer talks are delayed until summer 2020
Is Sergej Milinkovic-Savic coming to Inter in January? Unlikely despite the many rumors of the last few days. The Serbian midfielder is not on Lazio’s transfer market, at least when it comes to the winter window that will open in just a couple of months. Last summer, there were contacts with Manchester United, Real Madrid and two Italian clubs in Juventus and Inter which asked information but without making concrete steps to close the deal. There was no last-minute attempt in September either because after the signing of Sanchez, Inter had deemed their incoming market concluded.
A transfer this January is ruled out for SMS whose value is still at around €100M. As if that wasn’t enough, Lazio have agreed with the midfielder’s agent to renew contract which expires in 2023. This extension will go an extra year to 2024, increasing wages from €3M to €4M. Lazio are fighting for fourth place this season and Inzaghi wants Milinkovic-Savic to be the focal point of this project. Any transfer market talks are delayed until the summer.
