Inter working to terminate Spalletti's contract, would save €10M-€15M in gross wages. Major sum (plus sales) that could allow Marotta to sign an important player in January
Work is being done between Inter and Luciano Spalletti to resolve the contract that binds the coach to the Nerazzurri until June 30, 2021. Twenty million gross in wages for two years with the coach from Certaldo who is asking for payment of one year to close the relationship.
Inter have already paid Luciano for three months in July, August and September and aim to terminate contract with payment (for Spalletti and his staff) only until December 31 (essentially half a year instead of one year). In case of an agreement, Suning would save somewhere between €10M-€15M in gross wages and the feeling is that in the next two-three days, we should get an ending that pleases everyone.
With the saved wages, and in addition to perhaps a sale (Gabriel Barbosa), that could give Marotta an important sum of money to get another player for Antonio Conte to continue to challenge Juventus this season.
