Luciano Spalletti is a candidate to replace Marco Giampaolo on the Milan bench. However, the two-year deal linked him to Inter is proving to be an issue.

According to Sky market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Spalletti is asking for roughly €5M in severange page, essentially equals to one-year salary but Inter are only willing to pay a much smaller sum (rumor is only €1.5M). All sides are very distant in terms of finding a common solution to the point that Milan are turning to Stefano Pioli who is now the favorite for the bench.
