Skriniar: "My growth? Maybe because I always give my all in training and in official matches"

Inter defender Milan Skriniar was interviewed by Sky Sport at the end of the game against Rapid Vienna. Here are the Slovakian’s statements:

Did Icardi come to the dressing room to celebrate with the team?

“I did not go into the dressing room because I had to give an anti-doping test.”

Great performance on your part, talk a little bit about how you feel and the moment that you are going through?

“When I play, I try to always give my all doesn’t matter the opponent. Every player must have this mentality in my opinion.”

Bergomi says that you always show attachment to this shirt: how is contract talk going?

“Yes we are close. I have a great relationship with this club.”

Inter have been playing very well in the last 2-3 games: is there an explanation?

“I don’t think there is one. We often talk about it many times in the dressing room that after negative results, the spirit of honoring the shirt must start inside each and every player, that’s the fundamental aspect.”

You always try to get around the opponent using your feet.

“This helps the whole team. When I get the ball, we can start the attack  again. Sometimes I do foul an opponent but I always try to win the ball.”

How much do you think you still have to improve? What is your expectation of yourself?

“As I said, I always want to do my best in training and in official matches. So maybe this is where my growth comes from. Of course, you also need the confidence of the coach. These are important things for a player to grow.”
