Report - Inter will not return captain's armband back to Icardi. New contract offer is coming but likely won't be accepted
According to the Corriere dello Sport, “contract offer for Mauro Icardi is ready and it will be delivered to the former captain of Inter and his representatives next week. The new contract will be until 2023 at €6.5M: this figure will increase year after year for a few hundreds of thousands of euros. This is similar to Icardi’s current contract, which started at €4.5M but now it is €4.9M. Rich bonuses will also be provided. The captain’s armband is not negotiable: it will not return to Icardi.”
The Roman newspaper reports that the bonuses in this new contract will be based on team goals, not individual performance. Wanda Nara wants €9M-€10M and so it is difficult for both sides to come to an agreement.
